1,Chemical Name: Ammonium Sulfate
2,Molecular Formula : (NH4)2SO4
3,Molecular Weight: 132.14
4,CAS: 7783-20-2
5,Character: It is colorless transparent orthorhombic
crystal,deliquescent.The relative density is 1.769(50ºC). It's
easily soluble in water(At 0ºC, solubility is 70.6g/100mL water; 100ºC,
103.8g/100mL water). Aqueous solution is acidic. It's insoluble in
ethanol, acetone or ammonia. It reacts with the alkalies to form
ammonia.
6,Usage: According to GB 2760-2011, it could be used as processing aid
(only used as nutrient for fermentation). It also could be used as
dough regulator and yeast food. In the fresh yeast production, it's used
as the nitrogen source for yeast cultivation (Dosage is not
specified.). Dosage is about 10% (about 0.25% of wheat powder) for yeast
nutrient in bread.
7,Packing: It is packed with polyethylene bag as inner layer, and a
compound plastic woven bag as outer layer. The net weight of each bag is
25kg.
8,Storage and Transport: It should be stored in a dry and ventilative
warehouse, kept away from heat and moisture during transportation,
unloaded with care so as to avoid damage. Furthermore, it must be stored
separately from poisonous substances.

Ammonium
Sulphate is a kind of nitrogen fertilizer which can provide N for NPK
and mostly used for agriculture. Besides providing the element of
nitrogen, it can also provide the element of sulphur for crops, pastures
and other plants. Because of its fast release and quick acting,
ammonium sulfate is much better than other nitrogen furtillizers such as
urea, ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium chloride and ammonium nitrate.
- Mainly used for making compound fertilizer, potassium sulfate, ammonium chloride, ammonium persulfate, etc.
- Can also be used for rare earths mining.
